PT Food Runner/Busser (2026 Season)

Westmoreland CC is looking for PT/FT. Candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior serviceIdeal candidates have a genuine passion for service. As a Food Runner/ Busser, you will assist servers in providing efficient and effective service by keeping the space clean and neat. Beginner Runners are welcome – while knowledge of providing service is preferred, previous experience is not required for the position.Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed. This includes competitive compensation and potential promotion opportunities.ResponsibilitiesAssures that all material used by server is clean and ready for daily operationPossesses knowledge of the position of each diner’s chair in the dining rooms and loungesSets the outside line with under liner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and any other items needed for the delivering of foodOrganizes the plates in the window and matches each one with each ticket to run the food out to the tablesSets tables in accordance with Troon Golf standardsEnsures that each menu item is prepared in the exact detail outlined on each ticketCorrects the menu item with the chef before delivering the menu item if it is not meeting the exact specification on the ticket (For example; are the steaks prepared to the temperature modified on the ticket, does the hamburger come with pickles, etc.)Fills and re-fills water glasses and removes any place settings not being usedClears dishes located in front of guest upon completion of courseClears and resets tables when guests leave, to include but not limited to changes tablecloth, brushes chairs, places chairs at table, replaces silverware and glassware, and replaces napkinsAssists the server when neededKeeps workstations well stocked of items and ingredientsClean workstations, takes out trash, and vacuums the dining roomIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendancePerforms other duties as requiredEducation And Experience RequirementsLess than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (i.e. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
