Job DetailsDescriptionThe Distribution Operations Manager reports to the Director of U.S. Manufacturing & Utah Distribution and oversees all distribution activities at the Utah facility. This role leads Team Leads and Associates across shipping, receiving, inventory, and WMS support functions. The position is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-quality operations to ensure timely, accurate delivery for customers across the Western U.S.ResponsibilitiesOwn safety, quality, productivity, and team engagement across all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and WMS support.Build and sustain a strong team culture by clearly defining roles, ensuring effective training, recognizing performance, and addressing performance gaps.Partner with the Manufacturing and Value-Added Services Supervisor to foster a “One Team” culture and optimize overall facility performance.Maintain operational consistency by owning and enforcing Work Instruction Sheets (WIS) and standardized processes.Champion workplace safety by proactively identifying and mitigating risks to prevent injuries.Drive customer satisfaction by analyzing quality issues, sharing insights with the team, and implementing corrective actions to reduce errors over time.Leverage systems and data (WMS, TMS, LMS, etc.) to monitor performance, generate insights, and guide decision-making.Manage labor costs by improving productivity and ensuring efficient resource utilization.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and remove operational barriers.Model and promote company values, setting the standard for team behavior and performance.Maintain regular communication with team members to clarify expectations, provide feedback, and support development and growth.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field).5+ years of experience in distribution or manufacturing operations preferred.5+ years of leadership experience preferred.Experience with warehouse management systems; familiarity with NetSuite WMS, Shiphawk, or Easy Metrics is a plus.Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to support and engage team members effectively.Experience partnering with Human Resources to support both on-site and remote employees.Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze and apply data.Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proactive safety management practices.Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and results-driven mindset.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, timekeeping platforms).Essential Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
