RF DAS Field Technician

Job Description RF DAS Field Technician Teleco is looking for a highly motivated RF DAS (Distributed Antenna System) Field Technician to join our team with a focus on Public Safety DAS. The RF DAS Field Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of RF DAS systems in various environments, including commercial buildings, hospitals, and campuses. The ideal candidate will have experience in RF technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Responsibilities:Install, terminate, and test coaxial cables, fiber optic cables, and other RF components.Mount antennas, remote units, and other system components according to engineering plans and specifications.Program and commission DAS equipment, ensuring proper functionality and coverage.Conduct signal testing using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and other RF test equipment.Perform site surveys to determine optimal antenna placement and coverage areas.Optimize system performance by adjusting power levels, antenna orientations, and other parameters.Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with RF DAS systems, including signal interference, RF noise, and equipment failures.Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure system reliability and performance.Respond to service calls and resolve issues in a timely manner.Maintain accurate records of installation activities, test results, and system configurations.Generate reports detailing system performance, troubleshooting efforts, and recommendations for improvement.Provide documentation to customers and project managers upon project completion.Communicate effectively with customers to understand project requirements and expectations.Provide technical support and training to customers as needed.Address customer concerns and inquiries in a professional manner.Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working at heights and in various environments.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as OSHA and FCC regulations.Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards on job sites.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.2+ years of experience in RF DAS installation and maintenance with a focus on Public Safety DAS.Proficiency in using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, and cable testers.Familiarity with DAS equipment from manufacturers such as Comba, SafeCom, and Nextivity.Strong understanding of RF principles, including signal propagation, attenuation, and interference.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel to job sites and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.Ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds.Comfortable working at heights, including on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops.Ability to work in confined spaces and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Why Join Teleco?Be part of a fast-growing company committed to your personal and professional development.Enjoy a competitive compensation package.Seize the opportunity for career advancement within a dynamic organization.Our Core Values:Honesty: We believe in always being truthful and candid.Loyalty: We are dedicated to the mutual success of our employees, partners, suppliers, and customers.Integrity: We strive to exhibit strong moral principles every day under any circumstances.Trust: We are devoted to earning and preserving the confidence of our partners, suppliers, customers, and employees.Innovation: We are committed to researching and delivering advanced technology solutions for our customers.Customer Focus, Delivery Excellence, Hard Work, Humility, Positivity, Continuous Learning, Attention to Detail, and a Great Team Culture.At Teleco, we are not just a company, we are a community.
