Title – Senior Network ArchitectLocation – Dallas, TXResponsibilities –Develop recommendations that involve engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis,installation, fielding and field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of customers' communication systemsand network hardware and softwareSupport the local, regional and wide area networks (WANs), and clients' communication systems and networksincluding voice, video, data, and imagery informationReview and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of current/modern WAN/MAN/LANtechnologies. Recommend best practices such as Software Defined Network (SDN), Intent-based networking, andnetwork segmentation protocols, etc., to improve the existing architecture and meet new networking requirementsDesign telecommunications circuit specificationsIdentity the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise servicesDeliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning network configurationsDevelop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifactsQualificationsPreferred bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or other related field orequivalent experience requiredPreferred CCNP and/or CCIE certificationPreferred 10+ years of Cisco experience with other Network Platforms Juniper, Netgear and Fortinet a plusExtensive experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Service Routers (ASRs) and IntegratedService Routers (ISRs)Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of routing protocols and technologies including BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, and GREDemonstrated in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 technologies including STP, MST, and VLANSDemonstrated experience in overseeing and troubleshooting complex LAN issues and resolving WAN problemsand implementing, integrating, and supporting cost-effective, high-performance IP and LAN/WAN solutionsExperience with network design and traffic engineeringPreferred knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud solutions; also experience with working with SDNsExperience with providing senior-level engineering support and subject matter expertiseExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptableto others and to the organizationPossess a capacity and passion for cross-functional learning, experimentation, and innovationCustomer service focused and ability to work effectively within multiple levels of the organizationHigh sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and changing prioritiesReceptiveness to performance feedback within a team environment is essentialCandidate must reside or relocate to Houston, TX
