Technical Project Managers III and IV
We are seeking two Technical Project Managers (TPM) to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in a hands-on, high-visibility role that requires technical expertise and cross-functional responsibility.As a TPM, you must exhibit excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, and foster open communication across project teams. You will organize and oversee projects from inception to completion, coordinating activities across teams to meet both business and technical objectives. Business needs can change rapidly, so you’ll need to stay connected with both internal and external dependencies to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery. In this role, you will work with engineering, operations, corporate, security, and business teams to define project strategy and requirements, manage project metrics, and ensure consistency across the program.The ideal candidates will develop a deep understanding of our technology, effectively communicate its functionality, and possess the technical depth necessary for success in their role, while also demonstrating a strong commitment to productivity, automation, and innovative thinking for continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple matrix partnersDefines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersImplements and manages initiatives across various platformsEffectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, proactively ensuring that teams are "in sync" in terms of communication, schedules, issues, etc.Manages mostly high-priority projects in terms of complexity, risk, and/or business criticality while managing multiple projects simultaneously, juggling activities, and prioritizing accordinglyIdentifies, mitigates, prioritizes, manages, and resolves project issues, constraints, dependencies and risksCreates and manages the overall plan/roadmap, including all project tasks, dependencies, and critical pathsChampions and serves as a key contributor to the continuous improvement of PM best practices, using innovative ideas to increase the effectiveness of the organizationQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience5-8+ years of project management experience in a technical environment, managing large-scale projects, and program managementProven experience in managing infrastructure, platform, and security focused initiatives, including software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects, enterprise upgrades, and cross-functional technology implementationsStrong understanding of benchmarks, compliance, and regulatory requirementsStrong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practicesExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesOutstanding leadership skills and experience leading cross-functional teams and ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectivelyExceptional written and oral communication skills; effectively communicating to business leaders, able to work with business, engineering, infrastructure, operations, Corporate and information SecurityExperience with Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow is a plus, not requiredPossess a deep understanding of technical projects and associated dependencies, able to gauge severity of technical issuesProven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; motivate teams; resolve conflict; execute with limited information and ambiguityComfortable juggling competing priorities and handling ambiguity. Thrives in an agile and fast-paced environment on highly visible projects and initiativesPMP, Agile, or similar certification preferredThis position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.The pay range for the Technical Project Manager III role is $108,900 - $147,300. The pay range forthe Technical Project Manager IV role is $135,800 - $183,8300.The anticipated annual base salary range for these positions is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience.
