Title: Systems Engineer – .NET & SQL Server | Microsoft Applications Location: Greater Holyoke Area, MA (Hybrid – onsite requirements not specified) Employment Type: Contract Status: Accepting CandidatesAbout the role Seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to develop, administer, and support applications within a Microsoft technology environment. This role combines software development, application support, troubleshooting, and systems administration across on-premises and cloud-based architectures.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and support system integrations in partnership with technical SMEs.Design, program, implement, test, install, and configure applications.Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and develop resolution plans.Identify and remediate IT vulnerabilities in a timely manner.Support users and technical staff while adhering to software and change management standards.Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions and contribute to ongoing application support.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.5+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft technology stack.Strong experience with .NET, SQL Server, IIS, and Windows desktop/server OS.Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Active Directory, and Entra ID.Knowledge of networking and hosting fundamentals supporting complex IT environments.Current, relevant Microsoft certifications and experience working within formal IT change controls.Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):Estimated hourly range: $55–$60/hr (W-2).Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
