About The RoleThe Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of driver operations, routing execution, and customer service delivery. This role ensures efficient scheduling, effective communication with stakeholders, and consistent adherence to operational standards across fixed route and charter services.WHY THIS ROLE MATTERSThe Operations Supervisor is critical to the successful execution of daily service. This role directly impacts route reliability, driver performance, customer satisfaction, and the overall safety of operations.By ensuring that each day runs smoothly, the Operations Supervisor protects the company’s commitments to its customers and the communities it serves.This role also plays a key part in building a strong operational culture, fostering accountability, engagement, and performance across the workforce.Additionally, this position serves as a foundational leadership role within the organization, developing future operations leaders.WHAT YOU'LL OWNOperations & DispatchCoordinate driver scheduling for fixed route and charter servicesDispatch daily operations and assist drivers with routes and itinerariesSupport routing activities to maintain service efficiencyDriver ManagementMonitor driver attendance and performanceConduct driver interviews and support hiring processesAdminister disciplinary action as neededCustomer & Stakeholder CommunicationServe as a point of contact for Board of Education, drivers, and parentsRespond promptly to operational and service-related inquiriesAdministrative & PayrollPrepare and process weekly driver payrollMaintain accurate records, reporting, and documentationOtherOther duties as assignedWHAT YOU BRINGExperience1+ year of transportation or operations experience preferredLicensing (Preferred)CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements preferred (not required)Skills & CapabilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilityHigh level of flexibility, initiative, and accountabilityStrong interpersonal and team collaboration skillsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and routing softwareQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status and any other protected classes.
