Performing diagnostic exams with accuracy and proficiency. Assists with ACR accreditation as needed specific to modalities of responsibility. Verifies patient identification and thoroughly screens patients for contraindications or safety concerns. Proficient with applications used to perform tasks and properly identifies self on both handwritten and electronic medical records and information systems as the technologist responsible for conducting the services. Reviews patient schedule in advance and accommodates emergency add on procedures. Able to review patient's diagnosis and clinical history and follow protocols when performing exams but also modify protocols as needed in conjunction with radiologist. Verifies that cases are sent to PACS / workstation in their entirety and completes modality work sheet when applicable. Performs opening and closing equipment procedures and notifies appropriate person of any equipment related issues.
