Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates in transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrolment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes is available at the college as well.Provide instruction, support and assessment and mentorship to community college learners for various maritime trades programs for the Division of Workforce Development. Includes programs related to the Maritime Trades in such areas as pipe fitting, sheet metal, ship fitting, coating, outside machinist and electrical. Instructors are required to fully participate in the mission and community of the college. The major emphasis shall be on teaching, by working with Workforce (non-credit) program participants in classrooms, laboratories, field sites, distance learning, individual conferences, and related contexts to help learners develop their interest and abilities to the fullest.This is a Grant-Funded Restricted Full-time position.Special AssignmentsMay be required to perform other duties as assigned.
