Data Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and driven Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic data architecture, database design, and data modeling with structured and unstructured databases. Proficiency in DDL, DML, DCL, and stored procedures with relational databases, particularly Postgres, is essential. Additionally, experience with Databricks, enterprise cloud databases, and AWS is required. The successful candidate will have expertise in Python, Linux, and knowledge of Air Force supply and logistics systems, which would be considered a plus.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or comparable academic discipline
5 years of experience
Strong data architecture and data modeling skills.
Proficiency in DDL, DML, DCL, and stored procedures with relational databases, especially Postgres.
Experience with Databricks and enterprise cloud databases.
Database design, principles, and best practices.
Configuring Delta Lakes and Delta Tables, managing data ingest, access, and performance tuning.
ETL pipeline development and maintenance.
Proficiency in Python and Linux.
Knowledge of Air Force supply and logistics systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement strategic data architecture and data models for structured and unstructured databases.
Develop and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and data manipulation processes.
Configure Delta Lakes and Delta Tables for efficient data management and access.
Collaborate with data architects to prepare and integrate database structures for reporting, analytics, and visualizations.
Create and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure smooth data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Provide expertise in database design principles and best practices.
Mentor junior data engineers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
