Senior Safety Engineer with Security Clearance

Role: Senior Safety Engineer Client: Defense-Aerospace Pay Rate: up to $84/hr (W2, non-benefited) Length: 6-months contract Location: Woburn, MA Clearance: Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. Description: * Assisting with and implementing one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programsPerforming MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400).Assisting with analysis of engineering hardware and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements complianceWorking with test and tactical operating and maintenance procedures to assure the proper administrative controls are in placeWorking across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.Provide creative solutions to maximize safety functionality without impeding critical performance.Assist with design of concise, testable safety requirements or providing safety analysis of existing requirementsAssist with performing System Safety Program or Design analysesCollaborating with other disciplines during program technical execution,Interfacing with key stakeholders (e.g. customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors)Assisting in preparation of Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer ApprovalAssisting with briefing safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval processReviewing Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and militarystandardsAssisting in preparation internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program Required Skills & Experience: * Experience with Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical or Firmware Engineering. Desired Skills & Experience: * Experience with DoD System Safety Programs e.g. MIL-STD-882 / DO-178Experience with system and software safety implementation in Agile Development environmentExperience interfacing with Human Systems Integration showcasing execution of Human Factors Engineering tasking involving MIL-STD-1472.Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal DevelopmentFamiliarity with Engineering Change Proposals, Engineering Review Boards, System Safety Working Groups Required Education and Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software engineering experience If interested in learning more about this position, please email your resume to and I will call back with more information. #CJ #Clearance #Cleared
