Logistics Specialist (Secret Clearance)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. This role is responsible for coordinating and optimizing transportation, inventory management, and distribution processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and coordinate all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory controlDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain solutionsMonitor shipments and deliveries to ensure on-time performance and resolve any issues that may ariseAnalyze logistical data and generate reports to improve efficiency and reduce costsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain strategies and improve overall operational efficiencyUtilize logistics software and tools to track shipments, analyze performance metrics, and streamline processesMaintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and logistics transactionsIdentify areas for improvement in logistics and supply chain processes and recommend solutionsEnsure compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulations regarding shipping and logisticsRequirements:Report on-site to Springfield, VA every daySecret clearance5-10 years of logistics experienceExperience with DoD required forms and processes (i.e., DD Form 250, UID tags, etc.)Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, including inventory management and transportation coordinationExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to analyze data and generate actionable insights to optimize logistics operationsKnowledge of best practices in warehouse logistics and automationExperience developing contingency plans for supply chain disruptionsAbility to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) is a plusAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as neededProlonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting in a warehouse environmentJ-18808-Ljbffr
