Basic QualificationsThe following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position: Bachelors degree from an accredited College or University Tactical aircraft avionics experience. Air-to-Air and Air-to -Ground weapons employment/integration and Targeting Pod (TGP) experience. Significant knowledge of precision guided munitions (PGM). Significant knowledge of Radar Guided and Infrared Air-to-Air missile guidance systems. Knowledge of Surface-to-Air and Air-to-Air threat systems and tactics.Job DescriptionJoin the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team as a Senior Weapons Aircraft Systems Engineer at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah facility!What You Will Be DoingThe Weapons Integration Engineering duties include: Continually track the capabilities of near-term, mid-term, and far-term air-to-air, air-to-ground weapons employment, Electronic Protection (EP) systems, and Targeting Pod (TGP) capabilities and potential adversary counter capabilities. Obtain data from validated sources and analyze weapons employment and threat data to identify and evaluate F-16 capabilities. Contribute to engineering feasibility studies that lead to recommendations for hardware and software upgrades and modifications to maximize aircraft capabilities. Provide technical input while participating in weapons integration/development, meetings and conferences such as Interface Control Working Groups (ICWG), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), Flight Test Plan Working Groups (TPWG) and any other relevant teams. Work with weapons development vendors to accomplish System Integration Lab (SIL) testing.
