Survival Inspector Associate
HRD is an FAA repair station that has been providing world-class service for forty years. HRD is the industry leader dedicated to the overhaul of aircraft survival equipment, aircraft fire extinguishers, and oxygen equipment. HRD employs over one hundred fifty employees. We have offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Houston Texas, and Valencia California (corporate offices).Primary Responsibilities:As a Survival Inspector Associate, you will work with aircraft safety equipment to perform initial inspection of survival inflatable products to ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and specifications are met.Duties:Review customer documentation for service requirements and verifies against work orderConfirm service request against capabilities list to ensure work can be performedPerforms visual inspection of unitInspects unit for repairable condition and life limitations including condition of unit, DOM, and damagesConfirms that no defective and/or unapproved parts are utilizedGenerates a work order traveler that will accompany unit throughout the overhaul processDocuments any discrepancies and/or defect and properly document corrective actions on the work orderEnsures any relevant Airworthiness Directives (AD's) are appliedVerifications that service bulletins are complied with when applicable to the required taskCarries out duties in accordance to QCM/RSM written proceduresMaintains working area in an organized and neat conditionObserves and follows all safety rules and policiesMaintain an acceptable level of productivity as determined by department requirementsRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalentPerform basic math functionsRead, write and speak EnglishRead and interpret manuals, drawings, information, and technical dataMust have ability to see at close rangeMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to stand for long periodsMust be able to work in a team environmentHRD is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
