Salary: Competitive, based on experience Position Overview We are seeking an energetic educator to join our team as a Junior High Social Studies Teacher and Head High School Boys Basketball Coach. This dual role is perfect for a candidate dedicated to driving academic engagement with junior high students while leading a competitive high school basketball program.Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based Social Studies lessons (History, Civics, Geography) for Junior High students.Athletics: Oversee all aspects of the High School Boys Basketball program, including varsity/JV game strategies, practices, player development, and off-season programs.Leadership: Foster academic accountability, sportsmanship, and a competitive team culture at the high school level.Communication: Maintain open, professional communication with parents, players, school administration, and athletic staff.Requirements & QualificationsCertification: Valid Arkansas Teacher Certification (Middle School or Secondary Social Studies) is REQUIRED.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, or a related field.Experience: High school basketball coaching experience is highly preferred; solid background in junior high social studies teaching.Skills: Excellent classroom management, proven athletic leadership, and the ability to balance the demands of both schedules.
