Hospitalist NP/PA - Nocturnist

Night APP – Aberdeen and Bel Air, MD We have an opportunity for an Experienced Nocturnist APP to join our well-established Hospital Medicine Team at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen. About the Role Full-service hospitalist practice at University of Maryland (UM) Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen Part of the University of Maryland Medical System University hospital with excellent specialty support Average 15 patients/day Closed ICU, our team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes Staffing Model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs Staffing Breakdown Day: 10 Physicians and 7 APPs Swing: 1 APP Night: 2 Physicians and 3 APPs EMR: EPIC Beds 257 Trauma Level: Level II Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program Responsibilities include providing acute inpatient care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing evening hospital rounds and cross coverage of patients on service. Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners work side by side with our physicians as clinical colleagues. Our Nocturnist APPs independently manage patients and conduct admissions at night under the supervision of a Nocturnist. Our Pre-Admission Clinic APPs independently manage patients in a clinic setting with physician supervision. APPs are encouraged to work at the top of their license.
