Here, your voice and ideas matter, your work makes an impact, and together, you will help us define the future of American Express.How will you make an impact in this role?Global Commercial Services (GCS) provides a range of card programs and expense management tools to help large, medium and small businesses around the world manage almost all the facets of their business spending. The GCS Lead Financial Office (LFO) team is responsible for providing financial management, decision support, and planning & results analysis to the President of GCS and his direct reports to help achieve BU and AXP financial targets. The team works closely with GCS business partners and multiple Finance teams to drive insights which have a meaningful impact on GCS business strategy.This position is on the US Small Business Charge Product Finance team, which provides decision support for products including, but not limited to, Business Platinum, Gold, Green, Plum, and Centurion cards. The role requires strong partnership with Product and cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial and customer impact of key initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for developing data-driven insights, building robust financial models, and applying advanced analytics to inform product strategy and investment decisions.Responsibilities:Partner closely with Product and Finance stakeholders to shape portfolio strategy and investment decisionsDevelop financial business cases for product launches, refreshes, and new benefitsLead the analytical overhaul and automation of the CBA process, improving efficiency, consistency, and scalability across evaluationsBuild detailed analytics at the portfolio, product, and customer levels to inform strategic decisionsLeverage advanced tools (e.g., Python, SQL, and GenAI capabilities) to streamline data processing, enhance modeling, and generate insightsProvide financial consultation on high-impact initiatives and investment trade-offsDevelop and produce post-launch tracking of initiatives for business partners and senior Finance leadersMinimum Qualifications:Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across Finance and Product organizationsStrong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building structured, data-driven frameworksExperience driving process transformation and automation in financial or analytical workflows (e.g., CBA frameworks)Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and modelingFamiliarity with Generative AI tools and applications to enhance analytics, reporting, or workflow efficiencyTeam player that can work closely with finance colleagues and adapt to changing needs and prioritiesStrong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work through complex projects independentlyBachelor's degree requiredQualificationsSalary Range: $100,000 to $150,000 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
