General Manager

Position OverviewOur client are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead the daily operations of a growing multi-location construction company with headquarters in Coral Springs, Florida. This leadership role is critical to the continued growth, operational excellence, and financial performance of the organization.The ideal candidate will bring strong financial and operational leadership experience within the construction industry, including expertise in P&L management, job costing, production oversight, and service operations. The General Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager and executive leadership team to drive profitability, improve efficiencies, and support company-wide growth initiatives.This position requires a proven leader who has successfully managed a construction company or division generating $15 million+ in annual revenue.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipOversee day-to-day operations across multiple company locationsPartner closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth execution of production and service activitiesDevelop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitabilityMonitor workflows, scheduling, manpower allocation, and project executionEnsure all departments operate in alignment with company goals and performance standardsFinancial & P&L ManagementManage company-wide profit and loss performanceOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningAnalyze financial reports, KPIs, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for growth and cost controlEnsure accurate job costing and financial tracking on all projectsImprove margins through operational efficiencies and disciplined financial managementConstruction & Production OversightMaintain a strong understanding of construction operations, production processes, and service department managementCollaborate with project managers, production teams, and field leadership to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetSupport quality control, safety compliance, and operational best practicesAssist in resolving operational challenges and escalated project issuesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop department managers and operational staffEstablish accountability and performance expectations across all teamsFoster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on communication, professionalism, and resultsParticipate in recruiting, hiring, and retention of key personnelQualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or senior operational leader within the construction industryProven experience managing a construction company or division with $15 million+ in annual revenueStrong understanding of:P&L managementJob costingFinancial reporting and budgetingConstruction operationsProduction and service department managementDemonstrated ability to lead multi-location operationsExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExperience improving operational performance and profitabilityProficiency with construction management and financial software systems preferred
