Job Description2 years of experience in a transportation dispatch roleTransportation experienceKnowledge of DOT regulations and CDL Hours of Service is a mustWell versed in TMW (or other industry software) and ELD systemsDetail oriented with an ability to positively influence others across multiple groupsAn ability to work independently relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasksAbility to act as the first point of contact for emergency calls from driversDirect day-to-day driver dispatch and operationsScheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles or equipment as appropriateSpeaking with drivers, management and customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipmentPreparing daily work such as schedulesBeing in charge of communications within company assigned territoriesKeeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other informationRequirmentsLogistics experience requiredComputer experience requiredMust be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
