Loads and Dynamics Analyst (King of Prussia)

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:Perform non-linear structural analyses (stress/dynamics) for reentry vehiclesProduce and maintain models generated from both in-house and commercially available software codes, that simulate hostile encounter events, penetration mechanics, and impact physicsPrepare test plans, post-process test data, and compile test reports. You will be an important part of our product development team, where effective communication is criticalHave the ability to work on a multi-disciplined team performing structural design trades, preliminary and detailed design/analysis activity and performance and maintenance assessments of operational systemsProvide user documentation and recommendations to data packages to support peer and customer, present analysis data to engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and design reviewsProvide review, interpretation, flow down, and implementation of program requirements, and plan tasks and review budget and schedule to reduce cost and cycle time.Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills):Experience with Structural Finite Element Modeling/Analysis (FEM/FEA)Experience with Implicit/Explicit finite element modeling like Abaqus, LS-Dyna, NASTRAN 601/701/etc. or equivalentExperience performing analysis efforts in support of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design activityUnderstanding of structural analysis through education or equivalent experienceAbility to apply new and advanced analytical techniques necessary to perform analysisActive secret clearance; must be able to obtain a top secret clearance; must be a US CitizenA related Master's degree is strongly preferred for this positionExperience with multi-physics or shock dynamics modeling with tools like Abaqus Explicit, LS-Dyna, CTH, etc.Experience designing verification and validation tests and correlating models post testExperience with x-ray deposition, material vulnerability, and other hostile encounter environmentsExperiencing working to requirements, interfacing with customers, and presenting technical analysisExperience with structural analysis for re-entry vehiclesAbility to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environmentAbility and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficientlyActive Top Secret ClearanceGlobal Edge Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
