We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Field Service Technician to support industrial projects across the Midwest, with a primary focus on the Chicago area. This role offers flexibility, strong work-life balance, and a combination of field-based work, client visits, and remote coordination depending on project needs.This position is a combination of field vibration technical support and occasional client-facing sales support, including site visits and product demonstrations.The majority of the role involves supporting installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical service for industrial IIoT vibration monitoring systems installed on rotating equipment such as motors, pumps, fans, gearboxes, and other critical assets. Occasional travel to support local partners and clients in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and surrounding states is required.Candidates should have strong industrial field experience, understand real-world plant environments, and be comfortable working directly with maintenance teams, contractors, and manufacturing clients.Responsibilities· Support on-site installation, setup, and commissioning of industrial monitoring systems· Configure sensors, gateways, and related devices; perform functional testing and startup validation· Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, communication, and technical performance issues· Assess site readiness including power availability, wiring conditions, communication infrastructure, and installation feasibility· Work closely with customers, contractors, maintenance teams, and internal engineering teams· Support vibration monitoring deployments on motors, pumps, fans, and other rotating equipment· Provide technical guidance during installation and post-installation follow-up support· Document service activities, technical findings, and recommendations· Occasionally support sales activities including client visits, product demonstrations, and partner meetingsRequirements· 3+ years of industry experience preferred· Experience in field service, commissioning, technical support, industrial maintenance, or installation support· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills· Comfortable working in industrial manufacturing environments· Understanding of industrial power, wiring, communication systems, and installation conditions· Ability to perform equipment configuration, startup testing, commissioning, and issue diagnosis· Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with installation teams and customers on-site· Fluent English communication· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation· Willingness to travel occasionally throughout Midwest statesPreferred Qualifications· Vibration analytics experience preferred· Experience with Industrial IIoT / Industry 4.0 systems· Experience working with large manufacturers such as plastics, metal fabrication, foundries, wood products, food processing, etc.· Experience with industrial sensors, wireless gateways, or condition monitoring systems· Electrician license or certification is a strong plus· Experience supporting motors, pumps, fans, blowers, gearboxes, and other rotating equipmentWe value practical experience, reliability, and strong communication.
