We are looking to add top talent to our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team.Join us in performing Sacred Work!Competitive benefits are offered including:Matched Retirement PlanPaid Time OffComprehensive Benefit Plan - Medical, Dental, Vision and Much More!Bonus PotentialSummary/ObjectiveThe Clinical Dietitian provides assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation of patients identified as potential nutritional risk and coordination of MNT, as well as assists in the administrative and technical management of the Food and Nutrition DepartmentEssential Job DutiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Maintain Daily Censes Sheets for assigned units; to screen for and track nutrition assessments, follow-ups and all other nutrition intervention.Provides MNT to all patients requiring nutrition intervention; perform nutrition assessment of patients identified at nutrition risk, Develops, implements and, per policy, documents an individualized plan of care for each patient in the EMR ; monitors patient response to planned intervention through reassessment, addressing previously identified nutrition related problems; provides nutrition counseling and educations to patient/caregivers.Monitors enteral and parenteral nutrition support, diets and menus for adherence to therapeutic modifications and diet consistency and communicates with staff as needed to maximize patient care.Educates and serves as expert reference point to patients, families, and staff on home alternative nutrition and hydration services. Works with DME and insurance companies to help coordinate care for patients as needed.In collaboration with CNM, the RD acts as a preceptor for the Dietetic Internship programCompletes audit logs relating to patient care and food preparation as well as productivity logs, supplement logs and other Clinical Nutrition logs as assigned.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, completion of a Dietetic Internship program.Required License/CertificationsCurrent CDR for Registered Dietitians and Licensure Designation or successful completion of Registered Dietitian and Licensure Designation within first six months of hire
