Transportation ManagerUnitex is experiencing unprecedented growth! Due to this growth, we are in search of a highly skilled Transportation Manager for its state-of-the-art plant located in Lawrence, MA. Compensation: The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $105,000. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Flexibility is needed to cover as early as 3AM. Job Responsibilities:Recruits and trains all driversInteracts with our full-service leasing company to ensure proper maintenance of all vehiclesManages payroll, truck leasing and fuel budgetsManages work performance and results of all drivers Sets effective schedules to operate within budgetPrioritizes work effectivelySets high expectations and goalsTakes responsibility for achieving performance resultsFollows through to completion of work projectsAssures employees follow Unitex policies and proceduresManages and coordinates all company safety proceduresBuilds effective customer relationships and resolves issues in timely waysJob Requirements:MUST HAVE CDL LICENSE5+ years of successful transportation management experience with proven resultsFull understanding of DOT rules, regulations and requirementsMust have experience working with commercial drivers and regulationsExperience supervising a team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive settingIndependent thinker and decision maker that requires minimal supervisionStrong Microsoft Word and Excel and basic PC skillsVisit www/unitex.com/careers to apply onlineEOEAbout Unitex:For more than 100 years, our family-run business has been leading the way in the medical uniform and linen rental industry.
