Description Robert Half is partnering with a client in Torrance, California, to find a talented Cost Accountant for their growing manufacturing company! If you're a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant with a background in manufacturing, we want to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact by driving financial efficiency and supporting key accounting functions in a dynamic environment. What You'll Do: Conduct financial analysis and validate monthly Gross Profit reports and General Ledger entries. Analyze overtime spending trends and staffing levels to optimize cost control. Assist in the development of the Annual Operating Plan and manage departmental budgets. Prepare and reconcile weekly KPI reports aligned with corporate goals. Handle general accounting duties including sales, bookings, backlog, fixed assets, and other accounts. Ensure customer collections are in line with payment terms and company objectives. Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities as needed. Oversee inventory and COGS while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Support payroll and timekeeping functions for accurate reporting. Participate in month-end closing, internal audits, and annual physical inventory counts. Please reference job order number 00460-0013187521. or email resume to david.bizub@roberthalf.c0m Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role Proficiency in account reconciliation Experience with balance sheet reconciliation Familiarity with bank reconciliations Advanced knowledge of general ledger functions Ability to prepare journal entries accurately Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with month-end close processes Familiarity with NetSuite software Proficiency in Oracle software Experience with SAP software Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required CPA or CMA certification is preferred Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
