Formulation TechnicianLocation: Orangeburg, NY Type: Contract Compensation: $21.00 to $24.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite onsite Hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm, 1st shift Security Clearance: NoneOverviewThe candidate would need to have 2-3 year of industry experience with formulationResponsibilitiesMaintain production area in a clean and orderly manner consistent with GMP standardsHandle biological materials and hazardous materials safelyPerform tank clean out, sterilization, and maintenancePrepare glassware, filters, and other production materials necessary for production runsFollow production schedules for manufacturing processesUnderstand and adhere to quality proceduresOperate equipment such as centrifuges, filtration units, pH meters, balances, and mixersUtilize SAP or other enterprise management software (preferred)RequirementsAS or BS degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences, or high school diploma with 3-4 years of relevant experienceFormulations experience with liquid or solid formulationsExperience weighing chemicals and raw materialsAbility to perform conversion calculations (mg/ml to kg/l)Experience measuring aqueous solutionsPrior batch making experience in Food, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical industriesWorking knowledge of formulation sheetsAbility to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
