HVAC Service Selling Technician

Job Description:Lead Service & Sales HVAC TechnicianA+ Derr Heating & Cooling proudly serves the tri-state area. We also believe great service starts with a workplace where team members are supported, challenged, and given room to grow.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Lead Service & Sales HVAC Technician to perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs while also leading customer conversations around upgrades and replacements. You will help customers make confident decisions through clear education and solution-based recommendations, and you will mentor a small team of technicians by setting a high standard for professionalism and performance.What You'll DoDiagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC/mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools (including ohmmeters).Repair and maintain HVAC systems including A/C units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), plus related mechanical components.Interpret design plans and schematics to complete system modifications and upgrades accurately.Perform residential and light commercial field service visits.Recommend and sell home service solutions, including HVAC upgrades/replacements, water heaters, generators, and related plumbing and electrical options.Educate customers on repair vs. replacement, presenting options clearly and confidently.Maintain accurate service documentation, work orders, and repair records.Follow safety standards and industry regulations while delivering excellent customer service.What We're Looking For5+ years of residential HVAC service experience with strong HVAC and refrigeration knowledge5+ years of successful HVAC replacement/upgrade sales experienceJourneyman HVAC License (required)EPA Certification (required)Valid driver's license and clean driving recordStrong communication skills and a consultative, customer-first approachCompensation & BenefitsUp to $150,000 per year (hourly plus commission)401(k) with matchingCompany truck and fuel cardHealth, dental, and vision insuranceHSA and FSA optionsLife insurancePaid time off (PTO)Professional development assistanceEmployee assistance program (EAP)Referral programEmployee discountsFlexible scheduleJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: In personEqual Opportunity Employer: Heartland Home Service is an equal opportunity employer.
