This position will actively support product development for food safety through quantifying pathogens. The analyst will prepare and evaluate samples using aseptic technique. Work is performed as part of a team in a collaborative environment. Position may require occasional weekend shifts. What you’ll doConduct Analysis of products using traditional microbiological techniques such as dilution, pour plating, and filtrationPerform a wide range of general molecular/microbiology related test methods such as sterility testing, plate counting, and pathogen identificationPrepare sterile lab media used to conduct testingMaintain bacterial cultures for inclusive and exclusive testingGeneral laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenancePerform Spike CalculationsWhat you’ll bringB.S. in Microbiology, biochemistry, biology, or related science 2-3 years of Experience with microbiology lab techniques such as pipetting, preparing media, pouring agar, streak plating, etc.Strong attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAble to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results drivenAble to communicate effectively Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
