Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Performs HR portion of interviews with candidatesConducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verificationsPlans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goalsResponds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programsAssists with bi-weekly and monthly payroll processingProvides suggested employee handbook updates to HR LeadershipAssists with the recognition and retention programsCoordinates employee training as neededAssists with employee leavesAssists with benefit administration Provides HR analytics to VP of HRHandles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staffMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawOversees the temporary staffing process Maintains HRIS Assists with safety program and drillsUpdates and maintains departmental SOP’s Other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area3+ years' of experience working in Human ResourcesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and basic math problems. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Payroll Software and Microsoft Office Suite.Must be proficient at typing.
