Stage Director for High School Musical Production

Vergennes Union High School is seeking a creative, organized, and enthusiastic stage director for our fall high school musical production. This is a contracted position for the duration of the production season. The ideal candidate will work closely with the production team, including the Music Director, Choreographer, and Technical Crew to bring a dynamic and educational theatrical experience to life for our students and community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee all aspects of staging and direction for the musical productionConduct auditions and cast the show in collaboration with the production teamDevelop and communicate a clear artistic vision for the showRun rehearsals and scene work while maintaining a positive and inclusive environmentAttend production meetings and coordinate with school staff volunteers
