The Wellness Nurse's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring resident health status, providing physical care, and early diagnosis and intervention of resident changes in health status. Wellness Nurses must communicate politely and effectively with family, primary physicians, and perform all administrative charting or other services as required by regulations and company policy. In assisted living and memory care, the Wellness Nurse ensures care practices that promote safety, dignity, and engagement for residents with cognitive impairment, while serving as a clinical resource and role model for caregiving staff.
