Allowing us to offer perfection in every job we complete.OverviewThe HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems in residential and/or commercial environments. This role ensures all systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably while providing exceptional service to customers. The technician is accountable for performing preventive maintenance, handling emergency service calls, accurately documenting work, and adhering to all safety, code, and company standards. Success in this position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, dependable HVAC solutions.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and packaged systemsPerform preventive maintenance, seasonal tune-ups, and system inspections to ensure proper operation and efficiencyInstall, replace, and adjust HVAC components such as motors, compressors, coils, fans, belts, sensors, thermostats, and controlsTest system performance using gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools to verify proper operationIdentify system failures and provide clear repair recommendations to customersRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specificationsDocument service work, parts used, labor hours, and system conditions in service software or on work ordersMaintain cleanliness and organization of company tools, equipment, and service vehicleHandle emergency service calls and participate in an on-call rotation as neededFollow all OSHA, EPA, company, and job-site safety protocolsCommunicate professionally with homeowners, facility managers, and business owners to explain solutions, system upgrades, or preventative measures when appropriateCollaborate with dispatch, service managers, and office staff to ensure efficient scheduling and customer satisfactionEnsure all work meets local codes, manufacturer standards, and company quality expectationsQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of residential and/or commercial HVAC service experienceHVAC Certification [Technical school certification preferred]EPA Certification a plusValid Driver's License with ability to pass company's MVR requirementsAbility to lift 50+ lbs. regularly and adhere to all safety guidelinesFamiliarity with building codes, HVAC equipment manufacturers, and industry standardsWhat do we offer In exchange for your expertise, Perfection Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration offers an excellent employee benefit package including: Medical / Dental / Vision PTO + Paid HolidaysTechnical Training ProgramsIncentive Compensation ProgramsCompany vehicle & gas cardAll resumes are held in confidence.
