The role involves providing high-quality remote interpreting services through video remote interpreting (VRI) and over-the-phone interpreting (OPI) platforms. Responsibilities include facilitating effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals and hearing individuals in various settings, ensuring cultural accuracy and confidentiality. Candidates will also collaborate with scheduling teams, meet client requirements, and participate in ongoing training and quality assurance programs.QualificationsBEI certification as an ASL InterpreterProficiency in American Sign Language and a strong understanding of Deaf cultureDemonstrated skills in cultural intelligence and sensitivity to diverse populationsExperience providing interpretation through VRI and OPI platformsExcellent communication, active listening, and multitasking skillsPrior experience in healthcare, legal, or educational interpretation is advantageousAbility to work independently and maintain a professional work-from-home setup
