This is more than a welding jobit's an opportunity to set the standard, lead a team, and grow your career.What You'll DoAs a Lead Structural Welder, you will take ownership of structural welding operations while mentoring and developing other welders to achieve excellence in quality, safety, and productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a shift performing structural welding using GMAW processes (spray transfer, pulse, short circuit, and flux-cored).Fabricate and weld large structural frames and construction skids to code and specification.Train, mentor, and support welders with an emphasis on craftsmanship, safety, and procedure compliance.Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and AWS welding symbols.Perform accurate layout, fit-up, and fixturing prior to welding.Identify fabrication challenges and develop practical, production-friendly solutions.Participate in continuous improvement while helping establish department standards.Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts safely and efficiently.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding area.What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications5+ years of hands-on GMAW welding experience.3+ years of experience leading or supervising welders.Proven experience with large structural assemblies.Ability to pass AWS D1.1 qualifications: 2G GMAW Spray Transfer, 3G Flux-Cored Welding.Preferred SkillsStrong blueprint reading and AWS weld symbol interpretation.Precise fit-up and layout in production fixtures.Understanding of structural steel behavior and material thickness variation.Safe operation of cranes and forklifts.Pay, Perks & Benefits$5/hour in scheduled raises over 2 years.Quarterly bonuses.4% 401(k) match.Additional raise upon MIG pulse certification (CWI on-site).Company-paid medical, vision & dental insurance.Full PPE provided, including 3M PAPR welding hood.Life insurance.Family-owned company with a strong promote-from-within culture.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Roseville, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
