The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing water treatment, reuse and optimization solutions to existing clients while assisting in business development to provide high-quality deliverables on time and on budget to AE2S clients.ResponsibilitiesProvide professional services for civil engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary staff resources and sub-consultants to deliver high quality projects that meet or exceed clients expectations. Maintain existing client relationships and enhance pursued relationships with clients Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project workMaintain budgets and schedules of project assignmentsCoordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary teamBasic RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldRegistration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months4+ years of experience in municipal civil engineering, with a strong interest in the water market sectorStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business developmentAbility to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team membersAbility to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyKnowledge of design standards and permittingAbility to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulationsPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in civil or environmental engineering8+ years of experience in municipal Civil engineering (Drinking Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Water Resources)Knowledge of project financials & funding programsPhysical QualificationsAbility to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
