About the Opportunity:The Cloud Engineer III role focuses on engineering and transforming cloud environments by planning, assessing, designing, and deploying secure, optimal cloud-based solutions primarily on AWS. This position is essential to ensuring seamless cloud migrations, maintaining system performance, and implementing security standards, thereby contributing directly to the success of government and enterprise cloud programs.3. Responsibilities:• Design, provision, and deploy AWS infrastructure components such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch following best practices and standards.• Execute cloud migrations with minimal downtime while ensuring data integrity and application continuity.• Implement Zero Trust architecture principles to enhance security posture.• Configure and manage IAM policies and active directory integration for role-based access control.• Produce documentation for configuration and system usage for internal and customer reference.• Manage active directory services including security and group policies.• Implement security controls and hardening measures to comply with organizational standards.• Conduct security assessments and remediate vulnerabilities in cloud resources.• Monitor system and application performance, providing recommendations and resolving issues.• Perform root cause analysis on incidents and recommend corrective actions.• Maintain and enhance documentation of infrastructure configurations.• Provide reports and coordinate issue handoffs within and across teams.• Evaluate cloud and system technologies, including executing proof-of-concept testing.• Support migration of applications to infrastructure as code and cloud-native models.• Provide feedback on customer requirements to align with program direction.• Build positive relationships with partners, stakeholders, and customers to minimize escalations.• Troubleshoot and deploy containerized applications using Docker, including lifecycle management and debugging.4. Requirements:• U.S. Citizenship is required.• 7+ years of progressive IT experience in systems administration, networking, or infrastructure engineering.• 4+ years of cloud engineering experience focused on AWS service design, deployment, and operations.• CompTIA Security+ Certification.• AWS Associate Certification or higher.• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.5.
