NIPPON PILLAR PACKING CO., LTD. has a 95-year business history as a leading manufacturer of sealing devices in Japan.Since 1999, PAM has been supplying its patented fluororesin fittings, pumps, and tubing to the U.S. semiconductor industry.Our patented fluororesin fitting, the S300, has become a de facto standard among many prominent tool makers and device manufacturers. JOB SUMMARYWe are currently seeking a CNC lathe and mill operator to join our team at our newly constructed production facility in Northwest Houston. Under general supervision, the CNC lathe and mill operator performs essential duties to ensure that products are machined to specifications detailed in engineered blueprints and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The CNC lathe and mill operator is responsible for operating stations with up to three CNC lathe and mill machines.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe CNC Lathe and Mill Operator reads and interprets engineered blueprints/drawings, and machines parts with tight specifications and tolerances of +/-.001” and deburrs and inspects the parts machined.· Operates DMG Mori Seiki lathes with live tooling for the fabrication of fluorocarbon resin parts that conform to the high quality machine standards required by the company.· Conducts lathe and mill set-ups. · Operates Table Saw for cutting raw material. Reads and interprets safety rules/policies, engineered blueprints, procedure manuals, and operating instructions. Adheres to all company mandated safety procedures/guidelines at all times. The shop is kept very organized and clean at all times due to the nature of the products we manufacture. Inspects parts produced to determine dimensions and tolerance requirements of finished work pieces.Responsible for quality of all parts produced. · Permitted to initiate an NCR if any in-process defects or potential product defects are found/reported by customers. · Judgement of suspected NCR items cannot be determined and/or shipped without QC and Manager authorization. · Work beyond the authority listed above must be authorized by the Manager. Observes machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining; adjusts machine controls as required.Utilizes common measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. to perform QC on in-process and/or finished parts in accordance with company policies and procedures.Completes documentation generated and required for production in accordance with company policies and procedures. Assumes other duties and responsibilities assigned by management as required and willing/able to cross-train in multiple departments as needed.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience (or a combination of experience and training) interpreting engineered blueprints, cutting and relieving multiple styles of threads, and machining ring grooves. Knowledge of ISO 9001 specifications and requirements a plus.Experience with DMG Mori Seiki Lathes with live tooling and DMG ERGOline operation panels.· Experience with Fanuc controls.Experience with Mazak machines and Mazatrol operation panel.· Experience working from engineered blueprints, sketches, and process control documents. · Experience machining plastics of various compositions (PTFE, PFA, etc.) desired; will consider experience machining various types of alloys and exotic metals as a substitute. · Experience machining threading applications required (NPT, straight, tapered, etc.). · Experience running stations with multiple machines in a fast pace work environment required. · Previous experience with and proper knowledge of the use and calibration of inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, height gages, etc.).Skills/Abilities· The ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.· Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. · The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.· Must be able to effectively communicate with peers and management regarding job requirements.· Strict attention to detail is essential.· Self-directed with excellent initiative and determination. · This position requires punctuality, consistent attendance, and self-direction for the success of our operations.· Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
