SummaryThe Global Sustainability team is an entrepreneurial and agile group of results-oriented practitioners (Practice Partners, Program Managers, Project Managers) responsible for driving strategic sustainability initiatives across the organization. The team reports to the Global CEO and works closely with senior leadership and the business in the corporate and regional organizations to implement the Messer global ESG program. We work in an environment of partnership, personal development, and collaboration to implement and run the Messer global sustainability program and governance. Reach your highest potential at our stable, inclusive company with diverse opportunities in a growing industry, supported by people who care.Messer stands apart because we put what matters first, and you matter.Principle ResponsibilitiesDrives a portfolio of global ESG strategic programs and manages day to day program executionLeads large scale global ESG transformation and continuous improvement efforts with speed and agilityTranslates strategic priorities into actionable plans, ensures right KPis and dashboards are implemented with focus on scope, design, structure, team definition, execution to measurable impactWorks with the leadership team to formulate team direction, resource utilization, capacity building (people development, recruiting according to project needs, portfolio of projects)Influences leadership and large groups of people to achieve significant result and improve business competitiveness: acts as a thought leaderDemonstrates gravitas, inspires trust and motivates othersNavigates left to right (across functions and topics) and up/down (strategy/details)Coaches individual practitioners; acts as a mentor for all project team members and program managers in the teamWorks with key stakeholders to drive strategic decision making and project implementation.Creates structure and manages results through analysis and collaboration while facing uncertainty, ambiguity and complexity (commits and leads teams to results despite not having all data/information)Required SkillsExperience in ESG topics and frameworksAdvanced project management skills (business & analytical mind set)Experience in the application of project and change management Tools & PhilosophyResults oriented leader with proven track recordAnalytical and strategic thinker with strong execution skillsTeam player - can lead and coach peers and/or follow/support othersComfortable engaging with and influencing multiple levels of senior managementAbility to manage cross-functional project teamsGrowth mindsetHands onExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong Power Point and Excel SkillsAbility to travel up to 25%Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management or related fieldMinimum of 15 years program management experience and/or strategic consulting experiencePreferred qualificationsMaster's in Business or MBA preferredIndustrial gas experienceConsulting experience a plusESG / sustainability experienceThe salary range for this position is $135,000-$180,000. Messer provides medical, dental, vision, short term disability, life insurance and paid time off as well as other voluntary benefits, such as, long term disability in accordance with the terms and conditions of these Plans. Employees are eligible to enroll in Messer's 401(k) Plan.
