We are seeking an experienced attorney passionate about advocating for detained immigrants and pursuing complex habeas corpus and federal court litigation.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with a strong background in immigration detention matters and habeas corpus litigation in federal court. The ideal candidate will have experience representing detained individuals before Immigration Courts, ICE, and federal district courts, and will be skilled in emergency advocacy and complex motion practice.This position is ideal for an attorney who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact litigation and is deeply committed to immigrant rights and due process protections.Responsibilities:* Represent detained clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Court;* Handle affirmative and defensive asylum matters for detained individuals;* Prepare and litigate habeas corpus petitions in federal district courts;* Draft emergency motions, stay requests, custody redetermination motions, and related filings;* Advocate for clients before ICE, EOIR, USCIS, and federal courts;* Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies involving detention and constitutional claims;* Communicate regularly with detained clients and family members;* Collaborate with trial and appellate attorneys on complex immigration litigation matters;* Maintain organized case management and ensure timely filings under strict deadlines.Qualifications:* J.D. or LLM from an accredited law school;* Active bar license in good standing;* Minimum 3+ years of immigration law experience handling detention and habeas corpus cases;* Experience drafting and litigating habeas corpus petitions in federal court;* Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills;* Ability to manage emergency filings and fast-moving litigation;* Experience appearing before Immigration Courts and federal district courts;* Experience with bond hearings and custody redetermination proceedings;* Knowledge of constitutional and federal jurisdiction issues related to immigration detention;* Experience with mandamus actions and federal injunction litigation;* Familiarity with detention facilities and ICE enforcement procedures.What We Offer:* Competitive compensation starting at $140,000.00 - $185,000.00;* Meaningful and impactful appellate advocacy work;* Collaborative and mission-driven legal team;* Professional development and growth opportunities;* Medical benefits;* 401(k) with matching;* Paid time off;* Federal holidays;* Bonuses.How to Apply:Please submit your resume, cover letter, writing samples, and briefly describe your immigration experience with detention and habeas corpus cases.
