CNC Router Operator (Plastics)The CNC Router Operator (Plastics) is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC routing machines to cut and shape plastic materials such as acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, and other composites. This role ensures high-quality production while maintaining safety, precision, and efficiency standards.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC router machines to cut plastic materials per job specificationsLoad, position, and secure plastic sheets or components on the machineRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and CAD drawingsAdjust machine settings (speed, feed rate, tooling) based on material type and thicknessSelect appropriate cutting tools for plastics to prevent melting, chipping, or warpingMonitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed for quality and accuracyInspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure they meet specificationsPerform trimming, deburring, and finishing of plastic componentsConduct routine machine maintenance and cleaningTroubleshoot minor issues and report major concerns to the supervisorMaintain a clean and safe work environmentQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentExperience operating CNC routers or similar machinery preferredFamiliarity with plastic materials (acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, etc.) is a plusAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsBasic math and measurement skillsStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periodsPreferred Skills:Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code)Experience with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar)Understanding of cutting speeds/feeds specific to plasticsProblem-solving and troubleshooting skillsForesight Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
