Advana is the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s (CDAO) enterprise-wide, multi-domain data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) platform that provides all DoD military and civilian decision makers, analysts, and builders with unprecedented access to enterprise data, tools, and capabilities.Solution Architect Designs technical solution architectures supporting Advana enterprise objectives across Unclassified and NIPR, Secret and SIPR, and Top Secret and JWICS environments by translating mission requirements into scalable, secure, and interoperable system designs.Develops architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and engineering artifacts that reflect Advana system modernization priorities, reference models, and enclave-level parity requirements.Conducts technology evaluations and alternatives analyses using industry frameworks, cloud service benchmarks, integration patterns, and cybersecurity constraints to recommend components suitable for multi-domain deployment. Participates in enterprise architecture review boards to validate architectural alignment with Government direction, cross-program dependencies, and operational constraints imposed by Combatant Commands, Joint Staff elements, and federal mission partners.Supports proof-of-concept efforts by constructing prototype architectures, validating design assumptions, assessing performance characteristics, and documenting technical outcomes to guide full-scale implementation.Collaborates with software engineering, data engineering, cybersecurity, and platform operations teams to define implementation approaches, integration paths, and migration sequences supporting Advana system evolution.Produces technical design documents, engineering analysis reports, interface definitions, and configuration artifacts that strengthen traceability, reduce integration risk, and support program decision making.Maintains architecture documentation libraries and contributes to version control practices, metadata tagging, and architecture governance activities to sustain consistency and alignment across enclaves.Advances enterprise architecture maturity by recommending improvements that enhance system resilience, operational efficiency, and mission value for Advana stakeholders.What You’ll Need To SucceedEducation: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of ScienceExperience: 3+ years of related experienceCertification:Security clearance level: TS/SCIGDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunitiesSupport: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goalsRewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time offCommunity: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplaceOWN YOUR OPPORTUNITYExplore an enterprise IT career at GDIT and you’ll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your desire to drive operations forward.The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
