Grass Roots Marijuana – Part-Time Trimming / Packaging / Cultivation Assistant Grass Roots Marijuana is looking to add a reliable, detail-oriented person to our small cultivation team in Auburn, ME. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on trimming and packaging, with some cultivation support duties mixed in. Position: Part-Time Trimming / Packaging / Cultivation Assistant Job Location: Auburn, ME Job Type: Part-Time Schedule: Monday–Wednesday or Thursday (3 or 4 days/week, flexible on days for the right person) Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Starting Pay: $19–$20 per hour Job Description As part of our cultivation team, you’ll play an important role in producing high-quality cannabis products through careful trimming, accurate packaging, and general cultivation assistance. This position is mostly trim and packaging work, with occasional help in the grow rooms. The role can be physically demanding at times, especially during harvests and facility cleanings. Primary Responsibilities Hand trimming cannabis flower to company quality standards Weighing, labeling, and packaging finished products accurately Maintaining a clean, organized trimming and packaging workspace Assisting with harvesting, de-leafing, and plant maintenance Lifting and moving fairly heavy packages and materials as needed Helping with cleaning grow rooms, equipment, and work areas Following all state compliance, safety, and sanitation procedures Supporting the cultivation team as needed Requirements Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on work Ability to perform labor-intensive work during harvests and deep cleaning days Ability to lift and carry up to ~40 lbs occasionally Willingness to help with general cleaning and cultivation tasks Must not currently work at another cannabis cultivation facility (required to reduce cross-contamination risk) Must be 21 years of age or older and eligible to work in Maine Maine State IIC (Individual Identification Card) — must possess or be willing to obtain We will assist with the IIC application process and cover the fees (typically 1–2 weeks to process before work can begin).
