Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety guidelines and sanitation standards.
Assist in menu planning and development, including catering options.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation and presentation.
Adapt recipes as necessary to accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in the food industry.
Experience in catering services is a plus but not required.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
