AWS Full Stack Engineer - %100 Remote
Position Summary Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly experienced Cloud Engineer III to design, develop, and support modern cloud-native applications in AWS. This is a hands-on full-stack engineering role will be supporting the State of Virginia. The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing production applications in AWS and can quickly contribute to a fast-paced Agile development team. Must-Have Skills 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience developing enterprise applications Strong experience with React Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript Strong backend development experience using Node.js Experience building serverless applications with AWS Lambda Experience developing REST APIs using Amazon API Gateway Experience with Amazon S3 Experience with Amazon DynamoDB Experience with Amazon RDS Experience developing and supporting cloud-native applications on AWS Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (no sponsorship) Nice-to-Have Skills Python scripting Terraform AWS CDK AWS SAM .NET/C# (supporting legacy applications) Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise cloud-native applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Build and support scalable serverless applications leveraging AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3. Develop secure REST APIs and backend services to support enterprise applications. Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and support production applications to ensure high availability and performance. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software development and cloud architecture. Develop scalable, maintainable, and reusable application components following modern engineering standards. Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes for AWS-based applications. Assist with application modernization efforts by migrating legacy systems to cloud-native AWS solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and deployment processes. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, estimate work, and deliver high-quality software solutions. Continuously evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance application performance, security, and maintainability. The hourly pay range for this position is $60 - $65, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
