Material Handler/Forklift Operator (3rd Shift)

*Position Title:* Material Handler - 3rd Shift (Sunday to Thursday 11pm to 7am) *Reports To: *Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Manager *Primary Responsibilities:* * Proper adherence to and fulfillment of all tasks defined within, but not limited to GMP’s, Work Instructions, HACCP principles and/or CPG Policies critical to the effective fulfillment of the Product Safety Management System (PSMS). * To load and offload trucks, maintain the shipping area, and stage material going to the manufacturing area. * Responsible to report any Product Safety concerns to department manager, plant manager or Director of Quality Assurance. * Must exhibit knowledge and competency of PSMS and material movement and storage process requirements. * Line Clearance-Staging: remove prior job materials, confirm proper labeling for completed job and remove from line and work area prior to movement of confirmed change-over/next job materials. * Have raw stock at printing, laminating and slitting prior to the run set up. * Clear broken pallets from the manufacturing floor. * Clear full gaylords of scrap material from the manufacturing floor. * Organize WIP area including the curing room * Return any unused material to the warehouse for storage. * Pull finished goods from the staging area and into the warehouse. Other duties include: * Stage jobs in WIP area with rolls in run order. * Sweep out WIP areas. * QC notification of any returned goods * Put any return goods into the hold area until a disposition is given. * Check pallets coming into the warehouse for proper labeling and palletizing. * Supply manufacturing with any supplies needed to run their assigned job. * Remove un-needed materials from the manufacturing floor. * Check racks for any damaged pallets or product and re work them. * All product is to be covered, if a pallet is opened it must have a minimum of a slip sheet covering it. * No product is to be stored directly on the floor. * Stop any drivers or unwanted guests from coming into the building through the employee entrance. * Inspect forklifts at the start of each shift and document. Report any problems to Maintenance or your supervisor. * Keep the warehouse clean and swept. * Follow company GMPs and HACCP principals *Knowledge and Skill Requirements:* * Stand Up and Sit Dowm Forklift experience is REQUIRED - 2 years * Forklift Certification preferred * Must pass the forklift certification and follow procedures * Must have basic reading skills to follow Bill of Lading requirements * High School Diploma / GED Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Vision insurance Experience: * Forklift: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
