The successful candidate will work closely with the current Controller and CFO to provide oversight of accounting and finance functions, including the financial statement process, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role also involves financial oversight tasks such as treasury management, cash flow, and budget management, as well as assisting the IT team in the analysis and implementation of new technologies. The VP will be responsible for a team of 10 in the A&F department and 8 in the IT team, and there is a clear path to a CFO position within 4-6 years, with the potential to also take on the role of CIO.Applicants for the VP of Finance and Accounting position at the company should have a CPA or MBA in accounting/finance, with at least 12 years' of progressive experience in the field, and a minimum of 3 years' in a leadership role. A strong background in technology and outstanding communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in the insurance industry, particularly in medical malpractice or property and casualty.
