Security Systems EngineerAustin, TX | Full-Time | In-State Travel Required (up to 20%)A technology-focused security systems integrator with a newly established Austin office is hiring a Security Systems Engineer to support commercial and industrial projects across Texas. The company specializes in large-scale access control and IP video deployments and maintains a consistent project pipeline across economic cycles. This role is primarily programming and commissioning focused, with travel to Dallas and Houston project sites as needed.ScheduleMonday through Friday, standard business hours. In-state travel up to 20%, primarily to Dallas and Houston.Compensation$80,000 - $100,000 Per Year. Competitive base salary plus performance bonus.What You'll DoAs a Security Systems Engineer, your work will center on the technical side of project delivery rather than rough installation. You will not be responsible for wire pulling or device mounting. Instead, your focus will be programming enterprise access control systems, configuring and commissioning IP video platforms, and wiring control panels in preparation for system go-live.You will work across a portfolio of large commercial and industrial facilities, handling the full commissioning process from initial system configuration through client handoff. Programming accuracy and the ability to troubleshoot system behavior at the software and network level are central to success in this role.When project schedules require it, you will travel within Texas to support jobs in Dallas, Houston, or other markets as the company's Texas footprint continues to grow. You will work closely with project managers and other field engineers to coordinate commissioning milestones and ensure systems meet client specifications before turnover.Required Qualifications3 or more years of enterprise-level access control experience in a commercial or industrial environment Hands-on programming experience with one or more of the following platforms: Software House C-Cure 9000, S2, AMAG, Lenel OnGuard, Honeywell Pro-Watch, Avigilon, or Genetec Security Center Experience commissioning IP video systems alongside access control deployments Ability to read wiring diagrams and terminate control panels accurately Solid understanding of IP networking as it applies to security systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel up to 20% within Texas Preferred Qualifications5 or more years of enterprise security systems experience Manufacturer certifications in one or more platforms (Software House, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, or similar) Experience on large commercial or industrial facility projects (100,000 square feet or more) Familiarity with video management systems including Milestone, Exacq, OnSSI, or Axis Associate's or bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field Texas Alarm Systems Installer License (C-20) or eligibility to obtain one Compensation And BenefitsCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus performance bonus 401(k) with employer match Medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid training and manufacturer certification support Paid time off To apply, submit your resume through Indeed.
