Location: New York City (hybrid; co-located; our team is in Williamsburg)Type: Full-TimeStart: ImmediateCompensation: Salary + Competitive equityBuild the future of creative production.We’re building Bloom — a visual workspace for creative teams.We’re looking for a Full Stack Founding Engineer who is cracked and can ship fast.What You’ll DoBuild on Bloom’s existing foundation, taking it from current beta to a market-ready MVP and beyondOwn the stack across backend, frontend, and integrations (AI, cloud infrastructure, creative tooling)Evolve and optimize backend systems to support real-time, media-heavy collaboration at scaleWork directly with the founders to translate product direction into working, high-quality softwareShip new features and improvements for real creative teams already using BloomRefine and expand the technical foundation and system architecture to enable long-term growthCollaborate closely with product and design, with a brand-obsessed and detail-driven mindsetTech OverviewYou will help shape the stack, but here is our current direction:Frontend: React, Next.JS, TypeScript (with drag-and-drop and live editing in mind)Backend: Node.JSInfra: S3, CI/CD, Docker, PostgreSQLAI: OpenAI, ClaudeCode, Generative AI and other emerging APIsWorkflow: GitHub, Notion, Figma, with a tight founder–engineer loopWe’re especially interested in candidates with experience in:Real-time collaboration (e.g. Figma-style multiplayer functionality)Building AI-enhanced UX (autocomplete, summaries, image/text generation)Architecting for speed — short feedback loops are everythingTranslating ambiguous user problems into clean, scalable systemsWhat We’re Looking ForYou’ve shipped real products, ideally in creative tooling, AI, or productivity softwareYou write clean, reliable, scalable code — fastYou’re full stack and independent: frontend, backend, infra, AI integrations — you can do it allYou’ve worked in early-stage environments or solo — you know how to find answersYou care about aesthetics, UX, and the little detailsYou’re hungry.
