Job Description Job Description Commercial HVAC Technician - Direct Hire $40-55/hr DOE Excellent benefits! M-F 7AM - 4PM with OT and weekends as needed Dallas, TX/Carrollton, TX 75006 Position Summary: Service and maintain all commercial/industrial HVAC systems under contract with current customers while developing positive customer relationships. Essential Functions Perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment. Perform preventative maintenance work on HVAC equipment; change filters, belts, clean coils and lubricate as necessary. Take readings from pressure gauges, thermometers, and electrical meters to evaluate proper equipment operation. Read and adhere to diagrams, blueprints, specifications and manuals for installation and repair of HVAC equipment. Commission start-up and checkout of HVAC equipment. Install electrical, electronic and pneumatic controls. Perform brazing and soldering tasks as required for installation or repair of HVAC equipment. Test and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, repair and test equipment prior to placing back into service. Monitor and maintain clean work areas. Maintain and service hand and power tools related to trade. Complete necessary documents (time sheets, invoices) and electronic communication in a thorough, accurate and timely manner. Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks and maintain a clean vehicle at all times. Provide technical support to customers and/or technicians. Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum of five years of commercial HVAC experience Computer Skills: Minimal computer skills with minimal Microsoft Excel experience Certificates & Licenses (must be current or renewable): Registration with the State of Texas and Refrigerant Certificate (EPA Section 608 AND/OR EPA Universal); Valid Texas Drivers License Other: Familiarity with construction plans and specifications Company Description RPC Staffing was founded in 2002 as a firm that combines a hands-on approach with industry expertise and national reach.
