Using a keen eye and a tape measure, you verify each finished steel part against specifications, then sign off with confidence. When needed, you’ll pick up a hand-held grinder to put the finishing touches on edges or surfaces so the product leaves our facility ship-ready. Throughout the day, you stay on your feet—lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and moving with purpose—while keeping your station tidy for the next team.Core ResponsibilitiesVisually inspect and assemble outgoing parts to meet customer requirements.Use a hand-held grinder frequently to complete finishing steps on work orders.Read and interpret measurements; accurately use a tape measure.Match each finished piece to the work order, ensure all criteria are met, and formally sign off.Maintain pace with frequent motion, including lifting and bending, throughout the shift.Keep the area organized and prepared for the following shift.Support the team with additional tasks as assigned.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, unless such accommodation would cause undue hardship.Who Thrives HereEntry-level candidates—no prior production or manufacturing experience required.Strong communicators who follow written and verbal instructions.Safety-first individuals who respect established protocols.Team-oriented, self-motivated people with a positive attitude and clear verbal communication.EducationHigh School Diploma/GED preferred.High School Diploma/GED.Work Setting & Physical DemandsThis role operates in a manufacturing shop environment with consistent exposure to noise, chemicals, and materials typical of steel production.
