The Warehouse Lead is a crucial member of the team, acting as a role model and coach to assist with the development and direction of their team. This is a hands-on position in the warehouse.Work Location, Shift and Hours: Carrollton, TX; Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM, with opportunity for overtime. Initial training at our Schertz, TX warehouse will be required. Covered training time travel expenses.Pay: From $25.00 per hour; pay commensurate with experience and skills.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcessing OrdersUnderstand software system/pick ticket processEnsure order accuracy and proper packing and shipping methods of items for shipmentEnsure accurate receiving procedures and proper labeling and storage of incoming products and materialsUnderstand and work on the Open Order Report dailyLeadership and People DevelopmentPartner with Regional Operations Manager for daily plan, employee communications, opening and closing of the facilityObserve and build relationships with each team member to identify strengths and opportunities for developmentAct as primary mentor for training and onboarding new Warehouse Team MembersPartner with Regional Operations Manager to execute ongoing cross-training planAdditional Duties as AssignedParticipate in inventory cycle counts, understand variances and reconciliation processEnsure routine housekeeping and maintenance duties are completedOrder supplies as neededEnsure adherence to safety standards, immediately correcting or reporting unsafe conditionsOther duties as needed per branch locationQualifications and CompetenciesAbility to interact effectively with all levels of the teamAbility to lift, lower and slide 50-70 poundsAbility to use small hand toolsStrong organizational and time management skillsPossess basic computer literacy with keyboard skillsAbility to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious successful performance in Warehouse team member and production roles, required1+ years of Warehouse, Shipping and Safety experience, requiredForklift experience, preferred
